Early Life

RM is a genius student. When he was a child he started learning English and after it he started writing poetry and often received awards for his writing. Inspired by all this he works on his poetry online where he received a lot of love and appreciation. Through this RM also takes an interest in music.

When he was 11 years old he grew up interested in Hip Hop. Music after hearing Epik High’s “Fly” And he found comfort in Jones for himself. He followed an interest in rapping after watching American rapper “Eminem”. He started writing lyrics, that time his poetry became lyrics and he combined with music. In 2007 in the first year of middle school he already became a rapper and started rapping in local amateur hip-hop circles using Adobe Audition.
Later he participated in his first concert in 2008. RM became an underground rapper. He has done underground rapping in “Zico“.
RM is also good in study and he scored top percentage for math, foreign language and social studies in the nation of the University entrance examination. He had an IQ of 148.

He worked hard for his studies and dreams both because his parents were totally against becoming a musician or rapper. But he believes his parents that he makes himself best in the study also and he said to his mom that what they want to see in future is a beat and top rapper or one of struggling students from lack of students.

Career

In 2009 RM auditioned for big deal records and he passed that but in the second round he forgot all lyrics. However following the audience rapper sleepy exchange the contact number with RM. This exchange gives a chance to RM to meet big hit entertainment. Pdogg the producer of big hit Bang the CEO of big hit RM offered RM a record label with his parents’ knowledge. RM accepted the offer impenitently. And Pdogg and Bang started to make a Hip Hop group that became BTS. RM joined big hit entertainment at the age of 16.

During his career he enrolled in a global cyber university when he trained three years with Min Yoon-gi and dancer Jung Ho-Seok who are known as sugar and J-hope. During the period of his training he performed five pre-debut tracks for BTS and also wrote lyrics for girls gang glam to help them. In June 2013 RM made his first debut with BTS.

RM also did solo work under BTS. In 2014 big hit entertainment released a trailer of BTS first studio album dark and wild and it’s rap track later released by RM.

“RM” is the first mixtape of Rap Monster and contains 11 Tracks that are Voice, Do You, Awakening, MOnster, Threw Away, Jike God Rape, Rush, Life, Drift, and Believe.

it was released for free download on March 20, 2015. in 2018 RM released his second mixtape “Mono”. after that he become the first Korean artist who ranked number first in Emerging Artists Chart in the United States.
