Rahul Vaidya belongs to a Hindu family from Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. His family consists of his father, mother, and sister. His father is an Engineer at Maharashtra State Electricity Board. He spent his childhood in Mumbai, where he learned music under Himanshu Manocha. He also did many talent competitions. He did his schooling at Hansraj Morarji Public School, Mumbai. He completed his graduation from Mithibai College, Mumbai.
